With this collage, I am trying to show people the things that I am interested in. For example, the selfie I used is a very funny picture, and that can reflect on my personality. Another example of this are the pictures I layered over the selfie. I used a couple rowing pictures and also a picture of my dog, a Catahoula cur named Ani. The first layer, my selfie, represents me (of course). It is a picture with a funny snapchat filter over it, which reflects my personality and some of my interests. The second and third layers, the pictures of the boats/rowing, represent my interest in the sport of rowing. I have been rowing for a year and a half through skyline crew. The last layer is a picture of my dog, Ani. She is a Catahoula cur and she is three months old. For the most part, the only real effects on the image is the opacity change in order to represent the layers.
I think my double exposure turned out a lot better than my selfie did. The original picture for my selfie was goofy and low resolution, and the edit of it was not that great. In my double exposure, I took more time to line everything up and use a more serious picture. The only difficulty I ran into while editing this is getting the piece of wood in the back to line up. I could swear I was at my computer for an hour trying to get the scale right but I just couldn't get it. Other than that, it turned out pretty well.
